Granting a discretionary exemption to the competitive bidding requirements set forth in the Texas County Purchasing Act for the purpose of awarding a $342,095 contract for services, maintenance and support on a sole source basis to Orion Communications, Inc., for a law enforcement workforce management software called AgencyWeb IWM to be used in the Sheriffs Office. Additionally, $659,098 in software licenses purchased by the City of San Antonio will be transferred at no cost to Bexar County for this project. Granting a discretionary exemption to the competitive bidding requirements set forth in the Texas County Purchasing Act for the purpose of awarding a $342,095 contract for services, maintenance and support on a sole source basis to Orion Communications, Inc., for a law enforcement workforce management software called AgencyWeb IWM to be used in the Sheriffs Office. Additionally, $659,098 in software licenses purchased by the City of San Antonio will be transferred at no cost to Bexar County for this project. It is a full suite of modules that will centrally manage the daily workforce activities for the Sheriffs Office based on their functional requirements, such as for Scheduling Administration, Time and Attendance, Overtime, Training and Absence Management and Employee Self Service.
